1. What is TradeNotion?

TradeNotion is a professional one stop shop signal service. Catering the needs of both signal providers and signal followers, TradeNotion allows to set up a complete service for signal providers and offer a seamless process for signal followers. The service is completely transparent and allows you to copy trades from any forex account (with supported platforms) in a few minutes.

2. Do I need to open a new trading account?

No. Your existing account will work just fine. You simply need to register an account and subscribe to the system(s) of your choice. You will not have any markups or hidden costs.

3. How do I find a good signal provider?

Head over to the signals list to filter out signal providers based on your criteria: Signals.

4. Why should I join TradeNotion?

TradeNotion offers you a complete solution for your signals.As a signal follower, you do not need to keep your trading platform open or be a rocket engineer to set it up – the service is simple and intuitive to use and will automate everything for you.As a signal provider, you will not need to search for clients, provide support or do anything other than trading – simply set a fee for your system and see your income grow.

5. If I subscribe to a system, can I still trade normally in my account?

Absolutely. You can keep trading normally – it will not interfere with TradeNotion.

6. Are there any spread markups or hidden costs?

No. Since you keep trading your existing account, you will have exactly the same conditions. TradeNotion only charges a small monthly service fee for operating your account and subscribing to systems.

7. How much does it cost?

TradeNotion Service fee is only $25/month for connecting your account. If you are a signal provider, you are also charged 30% of your subscription fee.

No. TradeNotion is designed to be a completely standalone service and as such, you do not need to keep your trading account open or install anything on your computer. Your terminal will be connected 24/5 on our servers.

9. Can't I use my own VPS to cut down costs?

TradeNotion is already cost effective. Maintaining your own VPS with real money on the line can be dangerous – if the VPS malfunctions while you’re away, you could lose thousands of dollars. That’s why it is always best to leave it to the professionals – with TradeNotion your account is connected and monitored 24/5 while you can do whatever you wish – all for a small monthly fee which is more than worth it.

10. Which payment methods do you accept?

TradeNotion accepts Credit Cards – the most commonly used online payment processor.

11. How performance is calculated?

TradeNotion uses an industry standard time weighted return formula (or TWR in short) to calculate your performance. This means that your deposits/withdrawals do not affect your performance data.

12. How signals are ranked?

TradeNotion uses a proprietary formula to rank signals. The formula ranks highest the best performing signals which have the highest return to risk ratio as well as most consistent.

13. How TradeNotion copies trades?

TradeNotion uses readily available broker API’s to copy trades from one trading account to another (even between different brokers). TradeNotion is designed to copy trades which meet the slippage criteria (3 pips default). If a trade cannot be copied, it will be retried until successful or invalid – this ensures optimal trade syncing and even in some cases, better entries than the signal.

1. Do you offer a demo account?

No. A demo account often misrepresents trading results and therefore it is always better to test with a live trading account.

2. Can I set custom limitations for a trading system?

8. Is it safe to provide you my trading account's login details?

Yes. TradeNotion makes use of the latest technologies to make sure your personal data is completely safe. Your login details are kept in an encrypted format on our servers, with maximal security protocols.

9. Do you support FIFO accounts?

No. Fifo accounts are not supported.

10. How do I adjust risk?

When you subscribe to a signal, you can change the multiplier value (either at subscribing or afterwards in your management screen); changing this value will show you immediately the hypothetical return and risk you could have based on the data gathered so far. A multiplier of value 1 means you’re getting the same risk ratio as the provider.

11. How lot size is calculated?

In order to adjust the risk taken in the provider’s account to yours, we use the following formula:contract_size_ratio = provider_contract_size/follower_contract_sizebalance_ratio = follower_balance/provider_balanceaccount_currency_ratio = follower_account_currency to provider_account_currency ratio

follower_trade_size = provider_trade_size X contract_size_ratio X balance_ratio X account_currency_ratio X Multiplier

If trade size is lower than minimal lot size set by the broker, the minimal lot size will be used instead.

12. How risk is calculated?

Risk is the maximal drawdown of the subscribed systems and appears in the risk – it ranges from 0% to 100%. When you adjust the multiplier of each system, you will notice the risk bar adjusting accordingly, showing you the total risk in real time.

Please note, in an effort to protect your account’s equity, we do not allow setting a risk of more than 100%.

13. Are results verified?

Yes, the data is taken directly from broker’s trading account.size will be used instead.

14. Do I need to map my symbols to the signal symbols?

TradeNotion automatically maps currencies and gold/silver in your account, however in some cases you might use different symbols, for example:

  • If your account has multiple tradable suffixes and you want to trade a different suffix than the one configured by TradeNotion
  • If you wish to copy other symbols as well which have different suffixes or names, for example DAX30 and GER30

You can map the symbol in the signal settings (‘Symbol Mapping’ tab).

15. How can I move a signal subscription from one follower account to another follower account?

To move a subscription please follow the steps below:

  • In the account’s ‘manage’ page click on the ‘x’ icon next to the subscription you wish to remove and set up in a different account.
  • After removing a subscription, it will appear at the top of the web page, click on the ‘Setup’ button to choose the account and set it up..
16. What is the minimal balance I should use for each system?

Next to the multiplier value, you will see a minimal balance to be used with the system. Check the total minimal balance at the bottom of the table to know how much total balance you need to work with your signals setup, for accurate results.Why is it important? When a system is copied, the smallest lot size can be 0.01, so anything below it is rounded up to 0.01 and here is where your risk increases – the more it is rounded, the less accurate the risk ratio compared to the provider. If for example you have only 50% of the minimal balance, your risk is double (100/50) than what it should be. At 10% it is 10 times higher (100/10) and at 1% it is 100 times higher (100/1)!How is it calculated? Our systems constantly scan the last 50 trades of each system to find the smallest lot size used. When you change/update the multiplier, we then calculate the minimal balance you need to have so the lowest lot size in your account is 0.01 (without rounding).

MIN_SIGNAL_BALANCE = SIGNAL_BALANCE / (MIN_LOT_SIZE_LAST_50_TRADES / 0.01)

MIN_BALANCE_TO_COPY = MIN_SIGNAL_BALANCE / MULTIPLIER

1. How much does it cost?

As a signal provider, you pay the $25 service fee for connecting your account to TradeNotion and a 30% fee from your subscription price for any subscription (deducted from payments due to you).We charge signal providers a setup fee because master and slave accounts are hosted in the same data center and in the same private network with super fast 1Gbps switches so latency is minimal (as well as slippage).
